John 6:40 Explained: Eternal Life Through Jesus Christ
Understanding John 6:40 – A Life-Changing Promise from Jesus
There are moments in life when we feel lost, uncertain, or overwhelmed by the weight of our circumstances. Maybe it’s a tough decision at work, an unexpected health challenge, or a deep personal struggle that keeps you awake at night. During these moments, we often ask, “What is the meaning of my life? Is there someone who truly cares about me?”
This is exactly where John 6:40 comes in—a verse that can transform not just your understanding of faith, but your very life. Let’s dive deep into this powerful scripture, unpack its meaning, and see why it’s one of the most comforting promises in the Bible.
“For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.” – John 6:40 (NIV)

Can Women Have a Family AND a Successful Career? #ErikaKirk #CharlieKirk
I honestly didn’t really pay much attention to Charlie Kirk at first. His videos kept popping up on my feed — those fiery debates with Gen Zs, passionately defending what he believes. Honestly, my first impression of him wasn’t great. I thought, “This guy is too intense, maybe even hateful.” So I just kept scrolling and skipping his videos.
But one day, out of nowhere, one of his preaching clips from 2021 appeared on YouTube. I don’t know why, but this time, I didn’t skip. I clicked. I listened.
And wow.
I realized Charlie Kirk wasn’t just arguing for the sake of arguing — he was bold, passionate, and completely unashamed about talking about Jesus and the Kingdom of God. The way he speaks is so full of energy and conviction. He encourages people to read their Bibles, hold on to their faith, and truly believe in Jesus.
Part of me even thought, “Man, I wish I had at least 1% of his energy and boldness — I could start my own podcast about Jesus!”
But at the end of the day, Charlie was human, just like the rest of us. Nobody is perfect. We’re all broken in some way, all flawed, all in need of grace. That’s exactly why we need a Savior — and that Savior is Jesus.
I’ve only watched about one and a half of his preaching guestings so far, but I know I’ll be watching more.
Charlie’s death was not in vain. I truly believe God is using his life and his passing to wake people up — to draw them back to church, to open their Bibles again, to turn their hearts back to Him. Heaven must be celebrating with him right now.
I’ve also started following Erika Kirk, his wife, and I keep praying for her — that she continues Charlie’s legacy and mission. I might not be the type who enjoys debates and arguments (just being real — that kind of stuff stresses me out!), but I love the message of faith, courage, and truth that Charlie stood for.
Farewell, Charlie. I hope one day we meet in heaven — maybe when the rapture comes.
